What and Why

What and Why

The Imaging-Animation and Media (I-AM) project addresses the issues of the exclusion of African young people from the creative opportunities afforded to young people in the richer world. We take our starting point from our experience in Addis Ababa where we know that there is a demand from young people to be included in the creative dialogues of their global peers and frustration that they do not have the means to get involved. The I-AM project seeks to provide such means through providing:

a) An introduction to what we see as ‘Imagination Communication Technologies’ through imaging, animation and media courses and workshops,
b) A persistent learning community that will support learners along their progression paths,
c) Ongoing access to resources that will enable them to continue their learning journeys.
